Under the direction of Élizabeth Robert, Adage edition publishes the first multicultural poetry collective book of our new Noches de poesía » collection. Élizabeth gathers poets of various origines in a Montréal coffee shop to share their poems and a meal in pure simplicity. This first publication, entitled Le Dépanneur Café, includes texts from 14 poets who participated in our Noches de poesia readings between 2006 and 2009. These multilingual and multicultural readings are produced by Diffusion Adage, a non profit organisation based in Montréal. Each text appears in its original language (French, English or Spanish) and is translated into French or English (for the French texts). Five years after being created, these reading series have proven that the dialogue between cultures and languages is not only established, but that true friendships have formed and many projects of mutual translation and co-writing are multiplying themselves!
